Once long ago there was a tree, one of many in a garden that no human could again visit because none were deserving anymore.
As the garden faded one of the last remaining of the magic trees was the Sugar Plum tree, and when the great flood came only a few fruit survived and were planted far away from people and it would be over 1000 years before humans laid eyes on the rare sugar plum tree but those people had a great evil so the true power lay dormate for generations until an honest person with a just and joyful spirit was found. In 1807 a group of 14 orphened school children found the tree while praying together to ask for a good new home for each of them, as the wagon train had stopped at a supply depot before continuing on to the next town with hopes of finding new homes for them all before winter set in.
An old man who had been calling out in the wild at the river much like the one who had been before was calling for those to leave behind the past of bad choices and change their ways, was camped near by and over heard the children and he knew the people in town had become filled with a power and principality that turned them from faith and toward darkness and the children would become little more than slaves.
He told the children in a way they could understand of the origins of the tree and its power but that dark forces were at work in the town and every town had invisible controlling powers simular to angels and demons that were at work and the heart of the people could both affect and be affected by those powers by if they chose the path up the mountain or the path into the valley.
The old man could not care for the children by himself so he asked the magic tree for help, and the good principals of the tree whom all agreed it was time new humans were trusted.
The Principles who lived in a magic chamber below the roots and have been in a type of hybernation until the right time came out to greet the preacher and the children had paused time so the preacher nor the children would not age until they were ready to go into the town.
The 10 Principals were called my the name of a fruit or spice and each had a needed trait for the world to be restored.

To defend the siblings who select humams to be a team of guardians and to help spread the qualities of the siblings without reveling the secrets of the tree and the secrert war in the air above each town, but to be a light and an incouragement to all and spread joy.
The 14 children who were made of 8 girls and 6 boys each from age 3 to 16 were not related but had become a family of sorts and with the help of the old preacher and a human image sir wally and the 8 sibling principals would raise the children in a new farmstead village outside the town where the tree was located outside the main town.
The farm village would be protected by the magic of the tree so the 8 siblings took a human form to adopt the children then when the wagon train left the new farm stead was formed and behind the invisible wall of magic all the towns people knew is a small group of settelers formed a new village, but to keep the tree a secret and avoid humans seeking marriage with the 9 magic beings they never went into town nor did the towns people enter the village, only the preacher and older children worked and traded in the town.
The plan laid out to the children was that they would work and train for 20 years before taking a spouse from the town or moving into town, then their children and generations to come would guard the tree and the seceret, while being embassidors of joy but in 100 years the tree would die and the preacher and the 9 magical beings along with the imvisible wall and all its magic would cease and when then children of that generation reach full adulthood at age 20 they would remember no more the magic that once was but only stories and rumors
In 1927 the last child of that generation became an adult and was left of the fading memories and less powerful magic completly left the earth
so for 120 years the 14 families of the villiage had a mission of peace and joy and to be a light to the world to reach who could be reached, and change what could be changed.
By this time the village had become a subburb and with in 80 years in 2007 the last of the family members with a connection died, and the world continued to get darker, but pockets of hope continued to be made and expanded as people without fully knowing where, why or how these things that just seemed like wise tales and silly traditions came from still had the dust of the sigar plum tree running through their viens kept the world from total collapse.
Knowing the time would come when they could neither plant a new tree or defend it, nor understand why the original children made a pack with their children that 1 grandchild from each of the 14 families would become a sugar plum fairy at age 16 if they were ready and willing they would become a magical being and every so many years as new children becoming 16 would both choose and be chosen they would get an extra long life and age more slowly and live as fairies for 80 years then be allowed to live out a normal life after that and would in time forget the magic
Depending on a families growth and willingness of young adults to except this there was anywhere from 14 early on to as many as 200 near the end it was believed that when the magic ended after 80 years or so the last Sugar Plum Fairy would be set free and only 1 would be selected and remain in every generation after that.
This had it worked would have created a small remnant to keep a part of the magic alive, but it didnt work that way as planned.
In 2008 and every 20 years after 1 child from 1 of the 14 families now a much larger interconnect and extend family the truest of every generation would be chosen to train to become the next sugar plum fairy with a great grandma, grandma, mother fairy and girl child fairy would be alive with fairy power at any one time but as the magic ran out over time it was harder to find quality people to become fairies and they became weaker and less pure over time and in 2001 the last living fairy nearing the end of her time was unable to find a replacement and became stuck as an 18 year old appearing fairu that was really 90 years old, and in 2023 the magic running out she could no longer remember her idenity but could not age and her father the last wally died years before she found herself without a past living in a group home for troubled young adults and was....
